NEPIC Meet The Members 2018
June is many things to many people the start of the hot weather, the halfway point in the year, Summer solstice, The Isle of Man festival and the NEPIC meet the members and annual conference. An event that NEPIC annually organise with this year Wynyard Hall’s Grand Marquee hosting both the exhibit and conference. This year was slightly different because we were there! DJM Aerial Solutions one of the leading drone service providers in the northeast were exhibiting and attending the conferences.
We took the opportunity at the NEPIC exhibition to display our fleet of high specification unmanned aerial vehicles including both the Matrice 210 our survey grade external inspection drone alongside both the Zenmuse Z30 long range RGB inspection sensor and the Flyability Elios internal survey tool inclusive of 4 axes gyroscopically stabilised carbon fibre roll cage and thermal sensor.
Innovation is the heart of our Teesside business alongside disruptive technology and this years NEPIC conference was also heavily based around the growth of Teesside industry and the importance of local SME’s growing through strong innovation techniques. The diverse range of industry speakers and the strong sense of business community was a prominent feeling at the NEPIC event with the beautiful Wynyard Hall Grand Marquee as a backdrop for the generalised Buzz in the air.
This year the line up of guest speakers and keynote presentations at the Meet The Members conference was highly anticipated among the Teesside business community and for obvious reasons. The North East process industry leaders were present in their masses with huge prominence around decision makers and tier 1 company hierarchy.
The keynote presentations around North East industry kicked off with an excellently scripted deck from Darren Smith of Sabic, one of the worlds top petrochemical companies with a huge stronghold in the Teesside area
Followed by Nomi Ahmad from Sembcorp another fantastically delivered presentation regarding similar topics of innovation during the forthcoming Teesside growth period. Sembcorp will be involved deeply during the growth period as they currently generate and manage several contracts and supply industry at Wilton with the power needed to operate.
Steve Bagshaw of Fujifilm Diosynth presented the next topic followed by Allistair Leighton and Brendan Fish from GSK. What was common throughout all presentations was the importance of collaboration of smaller businesses and industries adopting new and emerging technology to better improve processes, But also the importance of utilising the Teesside supply chain.
Here at DJM Aerial Solutions we understand this and are continuing to improve our processes through innovation and collaboration with others. We are a Teesside business with a wealth of knowledge about innovation, within our own field and how best these companies can adopt our solutions to improve their own processes in the field.
Drone technology is fast becoming the preferred method for many visual inspection techniques and here at DJM Aerial Solutions, we have a strong fleet of UAV ready to take on any relevant task.
