DJM Aerial Solutions Commissioned for Aerial Crane Photography at Middlehaven

Middlehaven Dock

DJM Aerial Solutions have recently been tasked with capturing some aesthetic aerial crane photography and progressional imagery for local construction company over at Middlehaven dock area. The once famous traditional lock gates remain in place no doubt part of Middlesbrough’s heritage. As the newly fabricated concrete and steel beam bridge were lifted into position by heavy crane hire firm Baldwins with their 1000 ton capacity telescopic crane Liebherr LTM1800 configured with superlift to aid the landing of the bridge section at the required radius.

Leading construction firm leads the project in the area inclusive of new bridge and road across the lock and up towards Middlesbrough Football Stadium Riverside park, a route that has been long overdue and will ease traffic to and from the local colleges and creative hub providing direct access to the A66.

Middlehaven Middlesbrough will eventually be inundated with contemporary, bars, and restaurants inclusive of the recently announced snow zone, Middlesbrough first real snow ski slope. Teesside’s Middlehaven area will no doubt become the new hub of the town generating jobs in several sectors. The new infrastructure inclusive of a bridge is an essential part of the growth of the Tees Valley region.

Aerial Crane Photography

DJM Aerial Solutions have recently been involved in several Aerial photography projects across construction sites and civil engineering sites within the Tees Valley region. This one, in particular, was an interesting shoot following on from previous construction related projects in the Middlehaven area. This project being the last in a series of contract crane lifts over the lock area which has included several of the regions crane hire companies including Baldwins, Sarens, and Ainscough.

MD of DJM Aerial Solutions, Dan Maine, has a personal interest in the heavy lift industry after spending the first 10 years of employment having being employed by some of the largest crane hire firms in the Tees Valley region and across the UK, with both parents and grandparents stemming from the same industry. Dan added, “this project happened to be one close to my heart not only was it significant for my hometown, but also a project close to home in terms of the main area of focus being a contract lift using a crane I personally had heavy involvement with during my time with Sarens 13 years ago, not the exact same machine but its sister model none the less.”
